Dr. Thomas Williams
Dr. Williams received a bachelor’s degree and his first master’s degree from California State University, Sacramento. He graduated as the Top African American undergraduate student for the class of 2001. Shortly after completing his first master’s degree, Dr. Williams graduated with a Ph.D. in K-12 Leadership and administrative services credential from Capella University. He later earned another master’s degree and teaching credential in Special Education. Dr. Williams has worked in the field of Special Education from 1997 to present. In addition to his work at The Williams Academy, he teaches online graduate courses for Grand Canyon University and serves on the board of MyTeamTriumph. Based on his childhood experiences and research on maladaptive student behaviors, he has devoted his professional and personal endeavors to helping each child reach his or her optimal potential in education.

Robert Grate
After graduation from the University of Washington (GO Dawgs!), Mr. Grate became an officer in the United States Air Force. Upon retiring from the Air Force with the rank of lieutenant colonel, he entered the education field. He has 19 years experience in special education, working in non-public schools in the various capacities of teacher, master teacher, director of education, director of operations and assistant principal. In addition to his Bachelor of Science degree in Business, he holds two Master’s Degrees, one in Education and one in Management.

Mrs. Alexandra Weisgerber
Alexandra graduated from California State University, Chico, with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a minor in Spanish. She went on to earn a Master’s degree in Social Work from California State University, Sacramento. She has been active in social work for over ten years, working with at-risk youth in various settings, including with the Sacramento County Probation Department. Her expertise and dedication to the children and families she serves is evident in her everyday professional practice.

Laura Wood
Laura Wood graduated from the University of San Francisco in 2004 with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and minors in Latin American Studies, Ethnic Studies, and History. She also earned the Leo. T. McCarthy Certificate of Public Service. She has a mild/moderate Education Specialist Credential and Master’s degree from National University. Currently, she is working on a Multiple Subject teaching credential. Laura has several years of experience working with students in a non public school setting.

Patricia Leggette
Patricia Leggette graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. She has been working in non-public schools for over 15 years. Her professional mission is to positively impact the lives of special needs youth by integrating education, athletics, and positive behavioral interventions.

Teri Ahlers
Teri pursued an education in Business at both Heald Business College and Sierra College that has led to over 10 years of professional experience working in the educational system. She has worked with students of all ages at both the non-public and charter school settings. Her knowledge is an extensive part of the administrative team that she supports with strong leadership and integrity.

Mrs. Barbara Dutra
Barbara has worked within the business and Human Resources field for over 19 years. Her knowledge and experience also extend to owning and managing four successful retail businesses in California’s central valley for 15 plus years. Barbara’s education is in Social Services and Business.
